Region 1476 AYSO Board

Regional Commissioner

Rob Jewell

It is the Regional Commissioner (RC) that provides the leadership for an AYSO Region to really make a difference in children’s lives. The local Regions are the front line of the program and they require dedicated and thoughtful leadership. There are many other volunteer Region board members but it is the RC who brings them all together to make the program really work.

Coach Administrator

Bill Aldrich

Good coaches make for a great AYSO experience for every young player. AYSO volunteer coaches all show the same generosity of spirit to offer their time for young athletes, but have different skill levels and personal coaching philosophies. The Coach Administrator keeps track of the coaches in the Region, offers training and certification, models AYSO’s coaching philosophies and implements the National Coaching Program before, during and after the season.

Child Volunteer Protection Advocate

Vikkie Jewell

The Child & Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA) is a unique AYSO job that is required for every Region and is one of the seven required Region board positions. It is the role of the CVPA to oversee the AYSO child and volunteer protection program in accordance with AYSO Safe Haven policies. A fun, fair and safe experience for both volunteers and children is the objective of every CVPA.

Registrar

Shannon Michaud

The Registrar is so important in an AYSO Region, it is a required position on every Region board. The Registrar makes sure player registration is a smooth experience, oversees the registration accounting system and works on programs to make Registration events a fun, successful process. The registrar is the keeper of the philosophy of Open Registration, ensuring that every child who wants to play gets to play in AYSO.

Referee Administrator

Mike O'Brien

Referees ensure that the game is safe, fun and fair for players, coaches and fans. The Region Referee Administrator supports the AYSO National Referee Program, making sure all referees are trained, certified and properly registered, schedules assignments for referees and assistant referees within the Region, and makes sure that the games are fun for all.

Safety Director

Mary Fish

Safety is such a fundamental part of the AYSO experience that the Safety Director is a required position on a Region board. Just some of the things this important job includes are insuring safety by inspecting field equipment, advising families of dangerous weather and other unsafe conditions, overseeing the recommended adult to child ratio and managing the insurance process.

Treasurer

open position

The Region Treasurer makes sure that player money is properly accounted for and Region bills are paid promptly, and takes the lead in preparing the Region budget. Experience in finance, accounting or bookkeeping and an excellent attention to detail are helpful for this position.
